Terms and Conditions

Yaburara and Coastal Mardudhnuera Aboriginal Charitable Trust (YacMac) is pleased to introduce a private telehealth service branded as GPNow to improve access to primary care medical professionals for our members and their families. The program which commenced January 1st 2020 is designed to: • help YacMac identify which aspects of our private telehealth service program can best be delivered online and which are best delivered in a traditional face-to-face clinical setting; • support individuals located in remote or regional locations to benefit from YacMac’s GPNow telehealth platform and; • support YacMac’s aim of decreasing the barriers that arise for members located in remote rural areas to access quality healthcare services. YacMac acknowledges there are some circumstances when only a face-to-face consultation will be suitable. As a result, our telehealth service is only one healthcare option open to YacMac members supplementing healthcare services currently in use. How will the YacMac private telehealth program work? Initially, a GPNow medical professional will assess your current health. Once this is established, the medical professional will be able to adequately prescribe a healthcare plan and appropriate strategies to monitor and reassess you on the telehealth platform. YacMac will be able to provide a variety of different modes of delivery for this service, depending on the telecommunication capabilities of the member. For some, the use of teleconferencing services or soft phone conference calls will be the best mode of delivery. For others, the use of verbal communication through regular phone calls will be more appropriate. In most circumstances, the teleconference service called “GPNow” will be utilised as the platform of delivery. By signing this consent form you are also agreeing to the GPNow terms of service and privacy policy. A copy of the terms of service and privacy policy can be found here https://gpnow.net/.
